ABOUT THIS COFFEE.
This certified organic, washed Bourbon originates from the Abakundakawa Washing Station. Established in 1999, Abakundakawa, translated as "those who love coffee," is a cooperative that initiated the women's group Hingkawa ("grow coffee") around 20 years ago, comprising 584 women. The cooperative's farmers, located in Rwanda's mountainous Gakenke District, pick ripe cherries on the volcanic slopes, benefiting from the microclimate, high altitude, and fertile volcanic soil, contributing to the coffee's balanced sweetness and floral, fruity notes.
